Once Helikon had helped San Francisco establish a new theme for its 2012 Olympic bid—The Bridge To The Future—there was a pressing need to promote the theme across the diverse communities of the Bay Area. To raise awareness of new positioning, Helikon developed the concept of launching a poster program for the bid—inviting 12 of the best Bay Area designers to interpret the new theme in posters that would be distributed and displayed across the city. After outlining the strategic goals of the program, Helikon wrote the rules, recruited Httprint to produce the posters and help line up the designers. The result: A dazzling city-wide display of artistic innovation by a group of leaders from a very enthused and involved creative community. After three press conferences, signed editions of the 12 posters were auctioned off at a fund raiser for the bid.
