Experian, one of the world’s largest financial information service companies, tapped Helikon’s brand creativity for the name and identity design of its first consumer product. After helping refine the brand strategy for the product launch, Helikon named Experian’s consumer credit rating service Scorecard and then designed the identity and created the ad campaign for its introduction. With Helikon’s assistance in media planning, Experian launched the product in test markets in the second quarter of 2002 and plans to roll it nationally later this year. In a short period of time, Scorecard gained recognition as the leading product in its category, with USA Today rating the Experian product as superior to competitive offerings from Equifax and TransUnion.
