Helikon played a key role in the successful communications strategy implemented by Beijing 2008 in the critical closing months of its bid, crafting a new communications architecture, refining the bid’s key messages, launching a global media relations program, developing a compelling presentation for the Evaluation Commission and creating a powerful Final Presentation for Moscow on July 13th.  Drawing on its experience in four previous Olympic bid campaigns—Atlanta 1996, Istanbul 2000, Stockholm 2004 and Klagenfurt 2006—and brand development experience at the highest levels of the international Olympic Movement, the Helikon team helped Beijing 2008 focus on the critical communications challenges that defined the race for the 2008 Olympic Games.
