Hirthler & Partners is motivated by a passion to communicate the values of the Olympic Ideal. Over the last 14 years, George Hirthler has dedicated his professional life to serving and strengthening the Olympic Movement. His Olympic writings have helped articulate the power and promise of the Movement in dozens of articles, publications, speeches and presentations. In the interests of spreading a broader understanding of the values at the heart of the Olympic Movement, Hirthler & Partners will publish a series of articles from the archives—and the keyboard—in hopes of illuminating the firm’s belief that the Olympic Movement holds more hope for the future of humanity than any other international institution.

The three articles that follow include an Appreciation of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Movement, that Hirthler wrote in 1993, a profile of Civil Rights Leader and former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Andrew Young, written for the Atlanta 1996 Souvenir Program, and a piece on The Olympic Spirit written with Jean Claude Killy for the Salt Lake 2002 Souvenir Program.
